May 21, 2020 - Eye: pale ruby, browning slightly.
Nose: light intensity, floral, red fruit
Palate: dry, high acidity, medium (+) grippy tannins
high alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity, spice, tart red fruit, short finish.
Quality: Good (balance isn’t great as yet, will improve over time)

March 2, 2020 - Suckling's Great Wines of Italy (Loews Hotel - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Lean, mean and glorious in a very endearing Old School fashion with just enough richness at every point. Very exciting to me.

January 13, 2020 - Medium reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of violets & earthy/dusty, some cedar & sandalwood, dried herbs, spices, minerals & a slight note of vanilla/oak. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, blueberries & dark plums with earthiness, spices, herbs, mushrooms, cocoa & some minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but it should develop & benefit from additional aging at which time I expect the wine to rate a higher score (93+).
