July 12, 2023 - PNP. Too much oak at first, over time medium plus body not very tannic. Soft, dark fruits with a relatively short finish. Decent wine made in an uncomplicated upfront style. 88 points, higher if you like a more modern style.

July 16, 2022 - Grassi Family Vineyards 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon poured into a stemless Riedel WingWings glass appears dark garnet in color. I poured this slightly chilled.
Initial aromas were a bit reticent but still presented with dark fruits. After decanting for 90 minutes the wine opens fully with intense black cherry and plum notes. Secondary notes of vanilla, honey, and earth.
Sweet but not overly so with a light mineral bitterness in the finish. Medium body with good legs on the glass, the finish is long with silky tannins that are just short of dry. Well balanced but leans toward the sweeter end overall.
At over 14% abv the alcohol is well integrated and with the bold flavors I believe this will continue to last for a few years but tasting very good now -

June 15, 2021 - Decanted three hours. Lovely blackcurrant, spiced apple pie, light earth. Another 2014 showing well now.

April 6, 2021 - Right down the pike for a classic Napa Cabernet profile. Black plumb, currant, cherry, and graphite on a creamy bed of vanilla. Tannins are fully integrated. Full bodied and delicious.
