September 22, 2019 - Really mysterious aromas with depth that impresses. Tighten dark fruit seduces with the classic tones of smoke, leather, and salt minerals. This is the essence of Bordeaux!

Really full-bodied wine with richer mouthfeel that is experienced as broad and partly opulent without being too much. This gives a lot of resistance. Tighten classic fruit with blackberries, freshly squeezed espresso and dried herbal tendencies. What impresses most is that this juice also has a wonderful freshness and together with perfect tannin structure, it becomes s great balance. Long dark and good finish. Just congratulate the castle - Beychevelle is on the horse again! 96 points.

September 21, 2019 - Deep in color, truffle, tobacco, herbs, cigar box and dark red fruits are already in play. The wine is full-bodied, deep, concentrated with a non-stop wave of black fruit that adds another dimension. Clearly this is polished, powerful, elegant and fresh with lift, complexity and a finish that keeps on going. Give this at least a decade and enjoy it over the next 30-40 years!

August 24, 2019 - Great Bordeaux 2016 Tasting: Black fruits, plums, liquorice on the palate. Big flavours and rather warm. This had a lot of depth and potential for me. Memorable. Keep away for 5 years at least

June 26, 2019 - Wine dinner at Jade, Fullerton. Mid ruby. Medium body. Slightly drying tannins but not too harsh. Generous fruit, fully ripe, relatively low acidity. Good concentration. This has a good future ahead. My first taste of the much heralded 2016 vintage and I must say this meets the best of expectations.

March 8, 2019 - There's such lovely ripe, cedary, blackberry fruit, but Beychevelle so often smells a bit of potatoes. Is it the oak?
