April 27, 2019 - Very dense fruit, plum, black cherry.

    Excellent drinking now (4/2019)

February 26, 2019 - 40-75 yr old vines. 20 months new and used French and American oak. Borsao collective vineyards. Darker, more brooding fruit. Not an everyday Garnacha. over 16% abv.

February 5, 2019 - Ripe strawberry, leather, clay, rich, high alcohol. Hot. Dusty tannin. Southern Rhone like.

November 24, 2018 - From memory, as I had no opportunity to take notes:

Upon opening, I hardly registered a smell at all. It felt like smelling un-crushed berries in a pile of gravel. An immediate taste revealed a really powerful fruit, monolitic but truly deep, and some pretty well behaved tannins. As the hours went by - needless to say, I decanted the wine, in glasses, for as long as it was practically possible - the fruit unfolded itself somewhat towards a rich compot, the soft but powerful tannins played along well, and there was an overtone of vanilla oakiness that showed itself from time to time. The wine was rewarding and I liked it young thanks to the depth of the fruit - not sure what else to call it!
