August 16, 2019 - Much better than previous bottle. Good balance. Rocking and rolling now.

August 9, 2019 - Partial notes: started inside, carried onto boat and consumed amid waves, wind, and a limited attention span. Love Roero Arneis generally, expected Bruno Giacosa to excel for this white that originates in a sea of red Piemontese wines. But for this vintage at least, underwhelming. Excessive amount of CO2 made it into bottling, got a loud pop when reopened at sea! Insufficient fruit to reflect and appreciate the Arneis grape. Maybe better if consumed last year? But a '16 shouldn't be over the hill at this point. Comme ci, comme ça for a wine that should be a charmer.

July 5, 2019 - Perhaps some bottle variation, but this was the best we’ve had of this vintage.

June 2, 2019 - Pear, honey, a hint of orange peel, crushed stone and nutmeg on the finish. Nice balance. Well-made Arneis, good QPR.
