March 9, 2008 - Dark colored, just barely transparent. On day one nose of black cherries, earth and dust, tar. Intense in mouth with lots of dry extract and biting tannins. On day two more redfruited, relaxed tannins and less dry. Pleasing wine with potential and stunning QPR.

July 27, 2007 - Still an excellent bottle of wine. Having tasted the entire Sottimano portfolio in this particular vintage, I am confident it will turn out stellar in the years to come. Love this modernistic producer who makes wine of exquisite balance, harmony and still affordable.

June 17, 2007 - Not decanted, enjoyed over two days:

Dark red colour – a little darker than expected. The nose starts of with brilliant minerality, great fruit and a strong note of peppermint. The fruit is red cherry-fruit, and along with liquorice and leather the nose is intense and fruity.
The taste is spicy, ample and fruity with good, red fruit. First you feel the fruit, then the spicy touch and in the end comes the obligatory tannin-attack that makes the inside of your cheeks feel all dry, while flavours like raspberry, cherries, roses, liquorice, minerals and leather come forward, both in the taste and in the solid finish of 25+ seconds. A really good wine, which, compared to a Revello Langhe Nebbiolo 2004 I tried not so long ago, seems much better and has much bigger personality. A great Langhe Nebbiolo and QPR – I look forward to the Barbarescos.

April 19, 2007 - Lovely stuff. Very impressive for a Langhe Nebbiolo. Still needs a year or two to soften out, so there is plenty of room for improvement for the patient ones. Great buy!
