October 1, 2017 - This is full throttle Napa...explosive fruit..syrupy yet still retains interesting layers and slight nuances. total fruit bomb!

February 1, 2015 - 11 years on, still great depth and taste

January 25, 2014 - not much nose right out of the bottle, but after decanting 1 hour it did open up. good fruit and and not too tannic. finish ok. Not as great as I would expect for a Howell Mountain, especially 2004 vintage. Overall nice wine but have had much better Howell Mountain cabs for the price.

August 18, 2013 - Had this on my "drink up" pile for some reason, and I think I could have gotten another year out of this gem. Beautiful dark berries on the attack, some depth behind it, maybe some eucalyptus? Tannins nicely resolved. I don't know, I don't want to over-geek on this one, it's just tasting real nice right now.

(Piedra Hill Purple Label Cabernet Sauvignon) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very potpourri & Febreeze; good ripe blackberry & cassis coming through; hints of oak, vanilla & cedar box; TASTE-very floral & aromatic, but drinks like an $18-$20 Cab; medium bodied for a Cab; very one dimensional; lot of ripe cherries; little hint of blackberry; mouthfeel isn't great; WE-94; GV-87
