October 31, 2021 - deep purple colored / nose: intense, plums, blackberries, dark cherries, dark chocolate, cedar wood / palate: medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins, medium+ bodied, ripe cherries, licorice, little vanilla / glass I used: Zalto Bordeaux / overall: A great Bordeaux which is still very juvenile. I have decanted it for two hours. I will wait at least two more years before opening the next bottle. 9/10 (special plus for intensity an complexity)

October 30, 2021 - 92/93. Trade tasting. This estate is much improved. Visited the Chateau in 2015. Has fragrant aromas of cedary plums, gravel, iron, blackberries, raspberries and cassis. Its medium bodied silky, elegant, nicely oaked linear yet deep blue, black and red fruits palate ends long, fresh and tapering with good tannin. 13%. This is really good and drinkable. Lay down 10-20 years+. Needs 4-5 hrs aeration. At the provider it is 60 Euros which is steep. Another has it at 45 Euros and that is better value for a Bordeaux Grand Cru.

September 10, 2021 - Very nice all around. From the nose (like Peter Michael Les Pavots?) to the medium bodied wine of silky blackberry and cassis. Definitely some tannic bite (and some citrusy tartness) on the finish but the tannins aren't harsh. A wine that’s good in its own and with food. 2016 is my first experience with Pedesclaux and it’s definitely a positive one. Glad I have 3 or 4 more bottles.

August 28, 2021 - This is very good. Dark ruby/violet opaque color. Nose is Cabernet to me with cassis and dark fruit and a bit of wood. Lovely. Concentrated, juicy dark fruit with a good bit of acidity. Tannins are nicely integrated for such young wine. Long and powerful finish. Good now and great in a few years.

June 2, 2021 - Much too young of course, but my curiosity couldn't help it, very concentrated, likely to develop very nicely over 10 years
