March 1, 2024 - Flat, freaking amazing juice. What every Syrah grape dreams of becoming someday.
February 5, 2023 - Consistent with prior note. Drinking quite well.
January 28, 2023 - Still like this quite a bit. Excellent expression of Boushey Syrah fruit which is the iconic expression of Yakima Syrah - lots of blackberry fruit with the tiniest bit of rotundone. Excellent length. Ready to go.
December 4, 2021 - From magnum. Two-hour decant. I think the time is now (or in the near future) to enjoy this wine. Will have the other half of the magnum tomorrow. Will report if I sense much change.
September 9, 2021 - P&P. Started out a bit chunky but settled down fairly quickly. Nose is smoked meat, blackberry fruit, and oak, following to the palate with a touch of cranberry as well. Structure is very balanced, with all components playing well together. Very well made juice! Drink now - 2030.
December 19, 2020 - Deep purple, intense concentrated nose, coconut and toasty oak, cassis, exotic spices, pepper, the alcohol is present on the nose, a bit nail polish, on the palate a lot more structured, cool climate syrah but with a sweet vanilla and fruit forward note balanced by good tannins and acidity. Nice, maybe a bit too early to drink now
May 21, 2020 - Still a lot of primary fruit, coupled with intense minerals. Good length and structure
March 10, 2020 - Very smooth smoke Syrah. I will buy another bottle.
November 3, 2018 - APPEARANCE: Dark red
AROMA: Herbs, flowers, and hints of raspberry and pepper
TASTE: Big tannins and powerful dark red fruit. Definitely needs some time to soften the tannins
October 3, 2018 - Opening and consuming in a flash on a Wednesday night did not do this wine justice. It is an absolute stunner. Young but quite pleasing. Inky dark. Hugh structure, layered, well rounded. Great wine.
