August 15, 2020 - Finally coming into its prime. Great with grilled summer fare, but plenty nice to sip on its own with well-integrated tannins that are not at all drying. Beautiful brown clay color in the glass, plenty of still-fresh cherry on the palate that's had plenty of time to round out. No idea where I picked this up but wished I had more.

March 2, 2019 - Maroon and football-brown looking in the glass, lighter colored, minimal legs if any. the nose has hints of oak and cherry jam, not too strong. Mouthfeel is very light with bright toasty fruit all over it and a lengthy dry finish. Paired it up with a red sauce pasta meal and it worked just fine, though I think this is good enough to also enjoy on its own.

January 23, 2019 - This is going to be exceptional... but it's not ready. Right now needs over 2 hour decant to be approachable. Figs, leather, baked cherries, long finish. Medium plus acidity.

January 9, 2019 - Medium reddish garnet in color. Full, fruity & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, berries & plums with overtones of floral notes of violets & dusty/earthy notes, dried herbs, anise, some cocoa, tar, spices, minerals & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe red fruit flavors of sweet cherries, strawberries & mulberries with earthy, some spices, herbal notes, cocoa & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present with decanting and airing but will develop & benefit from additional aging. Very good QPR as well.

December 26, 2018 - Not ready.. began to open up after 2 hours or more. Some complexity already, but needs more time in the bottle. This is a big wine.
