January 4, 2013 - Pop & pour. Lots of blackberry fruit, smoke, pepper and, unfortunately, a healthy amount of VA. A tad too much for my tastes, and it overshadowed the gorgeous fruit and smoke.

June 13, 2012 - Felt a bit beyond prime but not downhill by any means. Smoky, raspberry nose with flavors of baking spice, pruned blueberry, cracked pepper. Very deep purple-blue. Savory but a bit muted, showing restraint, or age.
