June 30, 2023 - Oxidized :(
April 26, 2023 - Hmm, every review said it was an ager, so I left it, but I think this might be just past its prime. Medium to medium deep gold, has that wonderful, slightly minty nose that I have come to love with the Stones/Bones wines - also a sweet grass or herbal note, with Meyer lemon too, very enticing. Palate has quite high acidity, impresses more on the citrus end of the scale. Smooth and balanced, really calls out for a roast chicken, perhaps with an herb mixture tucked under the skin. This was slightly leaner and tarter than the Stones of the same vintage, but a lovely wine nonetheless, particularly for that unique nose.
December 26, 2022 - Sehr schöner Chardonnay im Burgunder-Style.
February 11, 2022 - Super crisp... Hint of flowers on the nose + Granny Smith apples, crisp pear, stones and minerals. Lots of acid and vibrant mouthfeel. Would love to sneak this into a blinded Chablis tasting and see who notices it's not from Chablis.
November 26, 2021 - Surprisingly 'green' flavours, not typical chardonnay
September 15, 2021 - Drinking very well right now. Citrus, tropical fruits, toasty cedar. Very mineral on the palate. Medium-plus body. Excellent length. Very high quality and elegant. I am never disappointed with these wines.
February 14, 2021 - Pineapple and sweet lemon on the nose. Smooth and balanced. Excellent value.
August 29, 2020 - Medium gold. Citrus, eucalyptus, grape and a touch of ginger. Mid acidity and well balanced. Opulent and long finish.
June 6, 2020 - Pale yellow. Looks young. Bright yellow. Minimally reduced nose. Marked acidity with some white orchard fruit and orange peel on the back end. Intense stuff with a stiff back bone. I get a sense of limestone. But like a limestone monster. Who did not put on boxing gloves.
May 31, 2020 - Almosst chemical golden yellow color, very intense aromas sof citrus, but mostly sage. A bit empty mid palate penalizes it, not worth the money
