  September 30, 2023 - My colleagues and I were finally able to organize a mini Lafleur vertical last night (an old dream that was very, very difficult to bring together) to redefine the odds against the fabulous 2022 vintage. Once again, we can't put 100 points everywhere.

  June 29, 2022 - Obligé de baisser la note. Le vin est toujours aussi fantastique mais comme il n'est pas tout à fait au niveau du gigantesque 2019 auquel je ne peux pas donner 101 ou 102 points sur 100....Pas le choix!

  November 9, 2019 - Incredible texture, awesome soft tannins, wild aromatics, nose of bramberry, wood, black cherry, very ripe and open currently. 55 franc / 45 merlot
  
  Opened 11am, double decanted back into bottle no cork, served at 7pm... I think this was key to the accessibility of this young wine.

Combining power with richness, creamy tannins, waves of ripe, decadent, black and red plums and cherry sensations, this is off the hook. What makes 2016 Lafleur so good is its uniqueness of character. The wine is sensuous, but not overtly so. The wine is powerful, but not heavy. It is the countless layers of red fruits that keeps on coming making you take that second glass, to decide if this is really that good. The knock out punch comes from the unique exotic character with its kinky red fruits. You will need the funds of a multi-millionaire to buy this wine. But if you have the disposable income, or have friends that do, this is a legend in making.
