February 19, 2021 - Interesting. I think this may be going into a shell. There is a lot to like but it seems like it is muted and a bit tight. Nice garnet color with a nose that features cocoa, earth, menthol, blackberry fruit and oak spice. Medium bodied with good flavor penetration. You can feel the oak on the finish but I think there is enough fruit to balance things out with time. Love the weight - not heavy. Would not be surprised to see this blossom with time. I can’t find the 98 from Vinous here, but there is very good potential though time will be required. Wait until 2030 to try the next bottle. I like the potential. (92+?)

July 5, 2020 - We decanted this very young Bordeaux. Ruby red with berry on the nose. Fruity and young, a bit sharp, with bubble gum notes. Lingering tannins with licorice flavors and a hint of cedar and mint. Let’s cellar this wine and taste it again in a few years – should drink best from 2021-2036.

    April 19, 2020 - Lovely wine already.
The wine looks violet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle.

February 8, 2020 - Beautiful St.-Emilion from the same family behind Pomerol's Vray Croix de Gay, something of a secret source of classically elegant Bordeaux and in this vintage the St. E might match or exceed the elegance of the Pomerol. It's slender and supple, the fruit a twist of pure red and purple plums with a mild, wild-berry tartness in the mix. Tannin is mild to the extent it's discernible at all but the fruit precision on its own is enough to delineate the shape and structure.
