January 5, 2024 - Good dark fruit with dark plum and blackberries, leather and a dark cherry finish. Nice tannins well integrated with a bit of pleasant bite. this could be kept for another decade, but fully enjoyable now.

November 23, 2023 - Beautiful soft notes of understated liquorice are the highlight of this wine. Sadly much needed tannins are not there to complement, leaving the mouthful a bit hollow.

February 20, 2023 - Wine of the night. It’s round and complex. Deep ruby and very dark intensity. Nose of blackcurrant, oak (cedar) and blackberry. Tanins are soft yet still there. Great complexity. It’s balanced and powerful yet I see it go for another 5-6 years max

May 29, 2022 - A little bit too alcoholic on the nose along with black fruit and, in particular, cassis. Just teetering on the edge of the opening of the drinking window. I decanted it three hours before dinner which was necessary. The wine is both soft and not in the mouth - soft floral and berry characteristics up front and then tightening up with the tannin on the finish. I agree w/ Jeff Leve about time - I doubt I’ll wait 8 more years but I would like to think I’ll wait another four or five and I think the wine, then, will be an elegant beauty.
