October 21, 2019 - Decanted first 2 hours , great nose , got better as the dinner progressed ! Hints of black cherry and plum ! Great wine !

May 19, 2019 - Deep purple color with a bouquet and flavor of elderberries, red currants, chocolate, and brambles with a silky feel in the mouth. Very nice balance with great definition and a long finish. Marred slightly by a bit of alcohol showing through at the end. This is a wow wine and went very well with the New York Strip. Would have also gone well with the last episode of Game of Thrones, but my wife and I are only on the third season and we are not binge watchers.

April 5, 2019 - Beautiful dark fruit color, havymon the palate, delicious mouth feel, long savory and length on the finish. Potential for long aging.

December 25, 2018 - D120; G5; 4.5+9*+4.9+9+9+4.9+4.9=96; super dark saturated purple color; aromas of leather, chocolate, kerosene, burnt plum, sauvage, smoked meat, herbs, cedar, campfire, licorice, dried sweet cherry; silky mouth; palate adds mega dark berry, moca, more smoked meat, dark cherry, stone; long finish, but not as long as I would have expected for this powerful of a wine - maybe because the palate is more suave than penetrating; balance is great with smooth acidity & silky tannin against intense black fruit; drinkable upon opening, but the 2-hour decant made this into a fine drinking pleasure. Likely to continue to improve and integrate over the next five years and hold well for another 5+ after that.
