Ouvert et bu. Excellent dès le départ, cerises rouges, fleurs, santal. Bien structuré et équilibré, profond, minéral et avec un zeste d’acidité, longue finale.
A boire avec de la réserve.
November 30, 2021 - Ouvert et bu durant 3 heures.
Robe grenat foncé. Arômes de cerises noires, de fumée, d’épices. En bouche, dense et viril, minéral, moyennement tannique, long mais avec une très légère touche de chaleur.
Au début de sa phase de maturité.

November 22, 2021 - dark purple fruits, with excellent concentration and power, good acidity, will be rocking in a few more years.
November 20, 2019 - Liked the descriptor "big, muscular" from another CT'er - it's that and then some! Most like a SRH or SLH in the Cali vernacular; big black cherry fruit, some asian spice. Round, soft finish. Didn't fare well on Day 2, however.
November 10, 2019 - Bu relativement jeune. Beaucoup de fruit primaire, peu tannique, une belle acidité. Assez peu de saveur secondaire, deviendra probablement plus complexe dans l’avenir.
July 19, 2018 - A big, muscular, Volnay with plenty of meat and black fruits. It has good depth and serious supporting structure. There's the flesh of the vintage and excellent drive and length. Needs plenty of time.
November 23, 2017 - Thanksgiving in Volnay: Domaine Glantenay (Volnay): At the domaine tasting room. Sees 25% new oak. From Santenots Dessous. Dense nose showing a bunch of delicious, serious cherry fruit but not much else at this stage. Wow, super density and concentration on the palate. Firm tannins in the finish. A long ager. 90-93 points.
