  October 2, 2023 - 20 minute decant. Nose of purple fruits, bay leaf, lilac, and a hint of turpentine. Powerful palate of dark raspberry fruit, raisin, loads of crushed flowers, red peppercorns, and smoky ham. Tight but pliable tannins with black fig, hot asphalt, anise seeds, boysenberry, and thistle. Powerful and impressive, but brawny and extracted, without the dexterity you often associate with Grenache.

  January 24, 2022 - Superb! Deep extraction and rich, ripe flavor. Cassis and anise. Medium tannins. Sustained finish. Full mouth feel. Nice complexity.

  October 1, 2020 - Opened an hour and a half before dinner and slowly drank for another two hours while watching the football game. Dark red fruit on the nose. The palate was red plums, cherry, strawberry and a touch of spice. The finish which was moderate brought out flavors of cranberry. Enjoyable wine served alongside marinated grilled tuna.
