May 16, 2019 - Solid throughout, although excessively fruity and oaky. Lacking substance.

March 16, 2019 - Cougar Crest's 2012 Estate Cabernet is a deep ruby blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec. Laden with dark plum, tobacco, black olive and lavender on the nose, it follows with similar flavors on the palate. Medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (13.1%) and with supple tannins, it weaves in a component of complementary oak that persists throughout the solid middle and medium-length finish. This enjoyable, well-priced Cab should be at its best over the next 5-6 years. Drink now-2025.

February 23, 2018 - Sweet spices and Funky, meaty, earthy nose. Green bell pepper and chocolate. Very modern in style. Ripe jammy fruit and chocolate on the palate with some bell pepper.
