March 29, 2020 - Best after several hours opened. At first this was closed and rather acidic.

Cherry nose dominated though some background notes of raspberry and compote are her as well. On the palette the wine reveals cedar wood, tobacco leaf, and cherry. At the mid pallete the wine added boysenberry and once agin more cherry fruit. Finish is definitely acidic and this is the downfall of the wine right now. That said I would sit on this for another Few years.

March 6, 2020 - While not what I was expecting after a recent excursion with the Le Nouveau Western Star (a much "denser" wine), I really enjoyed this as well.

After some air (90 minutes open but not decanted before the first pour) it had a very candy-like, somewhat one-dimensional sweet cherry nose, but on the palate was far richer that the nose suggested.

Sweet cherry/raspberry still dominated, but also some mocha notes along with a little (very little yet noticeable) oak (wood/tannin/smoke) and great acid to balance it off. Medium body which against so many other Napa cabs almost feels light today.

    A well-balanced pleasure.

January 25, 2019 - Fabulous. The wine was balanced and totally enjoyable. This California Cabernet, fruit-forward wine was highly concentrated. The nose, middle and finish was perfect. I would assume that the wine will add layers of complexity over the next five years and remain one of my favorites for the next 10 years.

November 4, 2018 - Showed very, very nicely after a two hour decant. Tart cherry and raspberry on the palate with some mineral notes. Long finish. Extremely well balanced. A bit more restrained in style than other Napa cabs, which we found very appealing. One of the best wines I’ve drunk all year.

May 18, 2018 - Quick double decant. Drank over a couple of hours.

Immediately a beautiful wine, vibrant purple fruits and crushed gravel. Love the balance and acidity here - went smashingly with steak frites and a peppercorn sauce.

Wouldn't be too scared to open another one of these in the near term, this showed quite nicely.
