  October 29, 2018 - Nice score for a wine supposedly 6 years over the hill, and similar to my notes from six months ago. Still very drinkable (assuming proper cellaring). Hints of cough syrup, but otherwise not bad.

  March 22, 2014 - to quote warner wolf, speaking of sports although he is also a wine enthusiast, "nobody don't know nothin". why does the community based drink by date languish at 2012 even though a few tasters have acknowledged that this is a robust wine. shared this wine with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate our first weekend of semi-relaxation in nearly six months. this wine is still a youngster. quite rambunctious. youthful color. opulent nose of red and black fruits. tastes something like a california zin. viscous mouth feel. enough heat to create excitement but not be obnoxious. long finish. very fine sediment in the last glass. the screw cap has had no deleterious effects on the progression or longevity of this wine. it will continue to be pleasurable for several more years. renews my faith in australia.

  July 1, 2013 - Lots of fruit and body, but a burnt rubber/asphalt taste that was unpleasant. We drank a glass and commissioned the rest to the sink.
