March 17, 2019 - Made pasta cooked in red wine out of this. The one glass I did drink seemed a bit better than my previous bottle, but I don’t really regret cooking with this.

January 5, 2019 - Got a great deal on these, but on night one, I thought I could see why. Seemed flat and maybe already over the hill. Must have just been dumb/sleeping though, because it came back pretty strong on nights 2-4. Not super interesting, but a good everyday cru Beaujolais.

September 24, 2015 - La Paulée Meets Chicago: Off the Grid Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Starts with a slightly cola/ bubblegummy note, but palate showcases rich and firm black cherry and berry. Interesting, good wine.

May 3, 2015 - smells of violets and red jelly beans, the palate is vibrant, showing cranberry, strawberry, mineral and stone, refreshing and playful, yet elegant and strikingly seductive, this is a nice accompaniment with roasted pork and mushroom gravy

November 15, 2014 - Complex aromatics made up of the smell of red jelly cristals being hit with hot water and stalky plant matter. There's also an engaging scent of violets that comes to the fore after a bit of swirling in the glass. It has flesh but also really good minerally tension. The finish is crunchy and it is a thoroughly satisfying drink.
