March 2, 2024 - Very nice: all tart red apple and some saltiness. Nice long finish with a bit of bitterness to it.

100% Grand Cru classified Pinot Noir from Bouzy.

October 27, 2023 - Toasty apple aroma with notes of herbs and spice. Ripe red apple, citrus, tangerine, and red cherry flavors with a yeasty and mineral finish. Creamy. Slightly oxidized. Lots of character. I like this and would buy again.

    Disgorged 10/20.

July 10, 2023 - quite flat and short on the palate, not for me

May 17, 2023 - Champagne In My Backyard: Served blind. Disgorged November 2021. Red apple, good push of supporting acid, too. Tangy with good length. One of my top wines of the tasting.

Tasted blind. Light; floral; interesting; very dry; a bit spicy; not much action on the finish. I liked it, but this is probably one of many wines that suffered from the break-neck pace at which we swept through the lineup.

May 13, 2023 - Served blind. Pale salmon color. Bright, sweet nose showing peach nectar. Juicy yet a bit short. The bubbles seemed harsh next to the other wines. Pleasant character.

NOSE: yellow and red fruit mix; strawberry on the aromatic finish; chalky; green/grassy note.

BODY: brassy color, with a hint of rose gold; medium-light bodied.

TASTE: high acidity; juicy -- almost sweet -- strawberry; interesting green olive note on the finish; bit chalky; saline on the finish; probably fairly divisive, depending on palate preferences, but mine loves it! This disgorgement is a Drink or Hold right now --- it has fleshed-out in positive fashion since my last bottle in October 2021, but seems to be in no danger of declining in the near term.
