They are like sand at the beach... it just gets everywhere. Plus, the wine is JUST starting to cast a tiny sediment-- and I think cabs in this state really do leave mouth-coating tannins (try wiping your tongue with a white napkin after a sip and see what you get). Nonetheless, I quite like this wine. It's not complicated and perfect for a cold winter night with some fat. It should improve a bit as the tannins precipitate out more as the fruit and acid will easily sustain it.

  July 20, 2022 - Russk. I'm going to revise my notes down a bit. After having the previous bottle a few nights later and a new bottle last night, it is not as elegant as I first thought. 90+pts. I will enjoy the 2 I have, but no need to buy more.

  July 15, 2022 - Russk. Still good stuff. See my last note below. Nose of green Bdx varietals and some FrOak. Mouth much the same. Nice acidity and light ABV (13%). Medium bodied. Finish silky tannins. Great QPR at $20G. Get more if possible.

  November 11, 2021 - Concentrated black fruits in smooth, almost sticky tannins. Simple. Very good. 50% cab 40% merlot 10% petit Verdot.
