September 4, 2021 - (In großer Runde probiert.)

December 6, 2020 - Good, slightly underdelivers for the price, but not by much. Needs air; was better at 8 hours than it was with 2; early on, it seemed closed, lacking in intensity. Not too sweet, something I've disliked and avoided cndp in the past for. The grenache doesn't impose itself despite it being the majority, feels almost a little more like a Saint Joseph syrah, but has more meatiness. Fairly substantial oak element but it's tasteful, good oak, not overpoweringly perfumed. Length is a bit short, and seems a little hot - 14.5% - it's not hidden very well. The tentpole of the wine is the oak, with a slightly peppery meatiness, and long medium to mild tannins.

    April 17, 2020 - - Peppery
    - Decanted for an hour .. still needed to decant more.so after 90 mins the wine opens up. Sweet notes in the front and with lemon sourness in the back. It is definitely smooth but I didn't care of the sourness in the end

December 31, 2019 - Way too young! Bad idea on my behalf to open... was frustrated after fighting with a crumbled cork from a 1990 Gigondas and went for this as backup. Will be very good in 5-10 years (wait closer to 10 if you can).

Decanted for 36 hours and it finally came around, had good fruit on the palate, nice and smooth, but nose was closed down. Palate still too muted for a CdP. Guigal always good... cellar this one if you buy any going forward.

May 19, 2019 - Garnet ruby red. Very reliable, made in an open and approachable style. Tannins are soft, fruits spring to the front. Noticeable pepper. Good for most anything involving a grill.

April 22, 2019 - Always a worthwhile buy. Considering how many wines guigal makes, I'm impressed. This one is particularly consistent, and I don't notice a whole lot of vintage variation which is good or bad depending on what you want. This was surprisingly light on its feet for 2015, light crunchy red spicy berry almost like something u get in bojo. But he must use more syrah than most, because the black pepper was exploding on this one. Low alcohol for cdp nowadays, low oak presence, good now and may improve.

April 14, 2019 - The nose is earthy, with leather, followed by dark fruits. The overwhelming sensation on the palate is one of smoothness, from the delightfully silken entry to the long lingering finish. This could be a delightfully enjoyed with a wide variety of dishes. It was delightful with rigatoni, Herb ricotta and marinara sauce, with Mediterranean Olive bread toasted. Absolutely heavenly with dark chocolate.

February 10, 2019 - Medium red color wine with nice mix of tannin, red cherry notes with a dry finish. Nice level of complexity for the price.

January 6, 2019 - Enjoyed by the glass with Mediterranean flat bread at the Palate Wine bar in Kilauea. gripping nose, peppery cherry/red raspberry on the palate, long enjoyable finish. Will look for this when back on the mainland.
