  January 27, 2024 - Trocken & particularly Groses Gewach are a relatively modern style of wine developed to be food friendly. They are certainly that. This has aged in the bottle nicely and now no trace, to me, of the sulphur noticed in the previous bottle of 6 months ago. Served a touch to cool at about 8/9c as it warmed it filled out a little. The nose had the delicate fruits you expect of Mosel but with a line of salinity all the way through in the mouth only fading towards the end of the bottle as the green slate associated with the Mosel became apparent. I believe it has a good few years ahead and feel it will develope a little more.

  November 8, 2023 - Really disappointing for a GG. Nice nose, but poor, short a sour palate. Nose is 93, taste is 84 - really acidic in a not good way and one dimensional. Did I mention short?

  August 27, 2023 - Amazing depth but a little sulphur present upon opening as per another TN. Next time will definately decant for an hour and let warm up to about 14c.
  I store my whites at around 10c.
  Lots of white fruit but the lychee stands out with that steel like Mosel acidity present. Will wait another 12 months or so before trying again.

  February 25, 2022 - Not pleasant at first, being full of CO2 that I removed with a good shake and then a decant. I still didn't find it particularly giving even after several hours of air, though; it was mineral, clean, lime and bitter herbs, like a particularly fresh gin and tonic. Stony, bone dry, with the merest hint of honey on the finish. Overall, I think this is well-made, but not hugely lovable.
