  September 20, 2007 - Deep garnet to the rim. Initially, this gave a nose of herb, tobacco, violets, tar and soft Grenache-like fruits (Strawberry, Blackberry and Blueberry). However, after 30 mins. the tar and violets disappeared and it became very herbal. On the second day it smelled more Bordeaux like, with lots of tobacco and cigar box character. On the palate, it shows nice blueberry/blackberry fruits with tobacco and herb qualities as well. Moderate acidity and firm tannins finish the wine. Recommend decanting a few hours to get a more pleasurable experience. Paired very well with prime rib roast. (Like a 2003 Bordeaux)

  September 18, 2007 - Soft and well balanced, with hints of berries. A delicious, easy to drink wine.

  May 4, 2007 - Nicely rounded blend within tobacco, minerals, and the expected blackberry fruit. Firm tannins. Reminded me some of a robust tempranillo.
