March 15, 2020 - Yellow color. Lovely nose of barnyard, honeysuckle and tropical fruit. Lip-smacking good: perfect balance of wood and oak, rich and creamy with plenty of ripe fruit. Finish goes on and on. 5-12-17-8: 92/100.

February 18, 2020 - Exciting and expressive, with more than enough of all of your favorite Chard elements to pique your interest. Rich and creamy without going too far over the top. Good balance (maybe slightly hot initially) and length.

August 29, 2019 - This rich and blowsy Chardonnay offers more power than refinement at the moment, with a lot of fruit but also a decent amount of heat (read: alcohol) that persists even after an hour of air. I’d wait on this one for another 6-12 months (or serve at a cooler temperature, or decant a longer time).

Light yellow in color (with a little cloudiness) and medium in body, the wine offers aromas of lemon meringue pie, brioche French toast, vanilla bean, and toasted almonds (getting the oak references here? - yup, good). Tastes of orange marmalade, golden delicious apple, butter, and maple caramel, with a sweet and briny finish. 14.9% alcohol.

This raw and somewhat informed wine needs time to calm down and integrate, though my guess is that this will always live at the edges of sensible modern Chardonnay (as many Martinellis do, or for that matter Bevan). I struggle with whether these intense wines are sloppy or ambitious, though perhaps both adjectives apply. Drink in 2020 or later.
