December 23, 2023 - Slow O'd for a couple of hours; did not decant. Good color, nice body, and scrumptious. Orange peel and clove interladen with rich fruit. Drinking beautifully.
September 23, 2023 - Loved this one. Great spice notes that stand up to food very well. Couldn’t pick out a lot of the flavor notes but the nose absolutely has a root beer thing going on.
May 4, 2023 - A lovely medium-bodied Pinot. Good acidity, soft tannins. Black cherry, sarsaparilla, leaf litter. Drinking well now but I'm not worried that it will fade anytime soon.
December 23, 2022 - Popped and poured. Inviting nose of black raspberry, violets and spice. The wine is medium bodied, fairly open knit, a little round and juicy but still nicely balanced. Black cherry and raspberry, herbs and earth on the palate. Drinking really well now. Doesn’t feel like a wine that will be long lived so I would drink up.
November 19, 2022 - Served PnP and drank before, during dinner, and after. Delicious throughout the night, maybe better 1st half with less air as bottle was kept open. Rich wonderful fruit currently tamed quite well in a style we did not expect to like so much. Good acidity, decent tannins yet, pleasant mouthfeel, not overly done, strong with elegance, very good and excited to try the other vineyards. May hold last bottle of this for 2-4 years.
November 19, 2022 - Oh boy this was a good one, very rich with fruit.
July 17, 2022 - Rich, delicious, tart black cherry/black raspberry fruit with integrated tannins, excellent structure, very integrated with depth and breathe of flavors, ample tannins and finish
February 13, 2022 - Black cherry and black raspberry notes on the nose. Medium bodied with black and red cherry upfront, moving to black raspberry through the middle. Finishes with acidity, tart black cherry and integrated tannins. The acidity and tart notes contrasted beautifully with the mid-body fruit and gave the wine a sense of completeness and integration. The fruit had plenty of depth to it, but always in balance with the other elements. Drinking very well at present, but has the structure to hold this level for another few years.
September 9, 2021 - PnP. Definitely a Cali pinot but tasted more like RRV vs. Sonoma Coast (even though it is Sonoma Coast). Fruit forward, inky, but not overly extracted. Everything was in good balance. I think if we let this breathe a bit before drinking it would have gotten into the 93+ range but the whole bottle was gone 40 mins after we opened it.
