December 29, 2022 - I opened two bottles that I purchased from the winery. Perhaps they went bad when they were transported home, but I doubt it. They were stored in my cellar on their sides, but both had dry, deteriorated corks and the wines were bad. It wasn’t just one bottle of expensive Chardonnay, but two!!!

April 29, 2022 - At first, it had an atypical nose for a Kistler Chard, with a very earthly component. After about an hour, it opened up and showed tropical fruit with mineral and a whiff of acidity. It was way better after being open for an hour or so. It had the classic papaya/guava/mango flavors but the acid came a little more to the forefront, and was really well balanced and also had notes of green apples. Great 45 second finish.

January 14, 2021 - Big improvement over last bottle, which still wasn’t too bad. Golden color, big nose and delicious mouthcoating fruit with a long finish.

December 26, 2020 - There was a slight metallic flavor profile upon initial tasting, but with air this wine really opened up and showed delicious fruit and long finish. Drinking beautifully now but needs air...best in 2 years.

December 12, 2019 - very low depth of color, straw yellow rim. on the nose quite aromatic with lemon fruits, new barrique baking spices, some malo aromas, minerality, and lees. on the palate dry, high acids, plenty of depth on the midpalate, moderate alcohol. balanced wine with very good length, great intensity, very good complexity. i haven't had high end cali chard in some time... this has every element of being an "excellent" wine and really impressed me. drink now or hold a couple of years.

May 22, 2019 - Tasted at the Trenton Roadhouse and bought a bottle. Beautiful yellow, buttered saltine crackers, lemon zest, chalk dust, merrigune. Nice tingly acidity will enjoy in a few years.
