  June 24, 2022 - Dégustation Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Verticale 2017, avec Déjeuner (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Second of two bottles tasted with lunch. This was had a similarly rich and enticing profile, but much more energy and length. Much more like the bottles tasted at this same event in 2018.

Rich and unctuous stone fruit comes across as floral and spiced on nose and palate. But this was fully, fully mature. While many Grand Cru 2014s still need time, this bottles would not have rewarded further cellaring. The second bottle....

  July 2, 2018 - Tasted at the Domaine, this was a real treat and privilege. Big and bold and clearly Grand Cru, this is also very focused and mineral. Has all the ‘14 characteristics but turned up to 11. This will become even more magnificent, but few will be able to witness that evolution.

  June 29, 2018 - Dégustation Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Verticale 2015, avec Déjeuner (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Incredibly rich, fat and unctuous with textures that easily support the ripeness ans weight.This leaves your taste buds asking for more.
