May 17, 2016 - Update; saved 1/2 bottle and drank a day after first opened - this was magical, the wine had opened and a lot of new tastes appeared. Now it is aged and complex. Impressed, gone from a good to a very good wine in 24 hours. Glad I have another bottle :)

May 15, 2016 - Over the top, but still drinkable. Red/brown, Oaked and powerfull With much structure like 10 years ago. Less complex than before

May 12, 2011 - Deep and dense cherry garnet. Violets, cedar and red berries on the nose. Spicy, lively with silky smooth tannins. Fresh and youthful despite its age. This was my last bottle and I wish I had a few more.

November 28, 2010 - Texture like velvet, a nice hint of oak, but nothing that draws attention to itself. A little short on the fruit, some nice acidity; opens up with a bit of chocolate, blackberry and smoke. Soft tannins; didn't try it when it was younger, but it's ready now.

October 16, 2010 - Still nice wine...Some of the freshness split out...But in its own charackter. Who never drunk Gran Reserva from Coto de Imaz could be dissapointed. Their wines are always balanced, smooth, noble. Shows harmony instead of heavy body...Perfect maturity age. Drink to the end of year...
