Community Tasting Notes 10

August 25, 2023 - This was great. The wine feels older with some secondary flavors making it almost taste like a brandy or a port. It's a little hot for my taste but it's rich and saturated and something all of us enjoyed.

December 19, 2019 - Beautiful aromatics draw you in. Rich, luscious red fruit flavors. Mouthcoating texture. It’s big, but there’s enough acid lift on the back end to keep things lively.

September 1, 2019 - Had this wine just after a Gigondas so the contrast for a GSM was pronounced. The Caliza was much darker and heavier on the palate. The nose is classic Paso GSM and the taste is on the sweet side versus the Gigondas which was more austere. Very interesting comparison.

February 12, 2019 - Dark purple color; earthy nose with outstanding balance of dark berry fruit and restrained tannins. Drinking very nicely already and should last many more years.
