October 24, 2020 - In a great drinking window but definitely open it up and decant for an hour+. Was tight right out of the bottle but it really started to sing about the time the meal hit the table. Well balanced with lively red fruit and toasted nut flavors. Cherry, raspberry and boysenberry nose. All-in-all a great value and excellent food wine.
April 29, 2020 - Decanted 1 1/2 hours. Inky deep purple with violet ridges and long legs. Alluring nose. Tobacco, with some blueberries and raspberries nestled underneath along with a hint of chocolate. Medium to full bodied with some strong drying tannins that initially left a primary impression of strained tea. This eventually gave way to cranberry juice, tart cherries, and some clay towards the back. My wife loved this wine, which get it an extra point. Paired with veal osso bucco and risotto Milanese.

January 18, 2018 - Red & dark fruits, spices, long finish, nice acidity.
September 20, 2017 - rather dark with ligter rim. nose: very open and pleasant; full of sweet cherries. taste: good acid, nice medium tannns volume. cherries and sweet cherries; fruity and not overdone. Good balance.
