September 18, 2022 - The 2014 Hubert Lamy Puligny Tremblots offers a good dose of oak toast and reduction. Incredibly youthful and energetic. Sleek white fruits and beautifully laced spices and toast. Light bodied yet majestic. PYCM Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru 2017? (91/100)

December 13, 2021 - Pulled to drink alongside a '14 Ramonet Ruchottes, that while delicious was showing a bit more roundness and buttered popcorn notes than I would expect from that wine and vintage. The Lamy performed as expected; young, vibrant, and focused. Consistent with my bottle from February. Delicious and a strong overperformer.

October 8, 2021 - Took about an hour to open up. On the stronger side of pleasantly reductive, slight smoke. Great balance and tension.

February 20, 2021 - Flinty reduction on opening, that rounds out and blows off with some air. This wouldn’t be out it’s league hanging with Coche and PYCM. Coupled with the vibrant acidity and balance of the vintage, this is simply fantastic.

March 10, 2019 - Tight for the first half hour and then it opened up nicely. All aspects in good balance. Delicious now but should age well on its balance.

December 25, 2018 - Opened last night with H on Christmas Eve with dinner (linguine and clams). Youngish appearance, more gold than yellow. Good Puligny nose, steely fruit with citrus and a hint of butter and tropical fruit. Excellent balance in the mouth, with a pungency to the fruit, yet a delicacy that carries the fruit from start to finish. Somewhat tart, indicating that this young wine is likely to be years away from peak drinking. A winning, well-made wine. 4-12-16-9: 91/100.

June 12, 2018 - Excellent wine from a maker with an increasing reputation. Lemon scents, lovely floral notes. Clean sharp edged really great Puligny with no hint of oak. Proof that not all Chardonnays need to be oak smothered.

    Elegance.
