June 20, 2023 - More advanced brown and rusty rim than expected. Amazing fresh and spiced aromas. Fascinating entry. Cinnamon, cloves and explosion of wild blackberry, Gigantic finish. Delicate and very special. Gary says he might not guess Nebbiolo !
June 7, 2023 - Not impressive upon opening, with a Hugh kiss of licorice and subtle red fruits. Would give it 87 on opening. Totally changed after about 2.5 hours. Became much more earthy/mineraly with a good mouthfeel and decent finish. 91 at 2.5 hours.

mouth - very dry, dried cherries, has a certain richness perhaps a bit of truffle.
June 11, 2021 - A 2015 Nebbiolo d'Alba from the sage himself, Bruno Giacosa, no surprises at this price point. Needs more time, as is often the case with Nebbiolo. It doesn't have the sheer dazzling profundity of a Barolo from the master, or the delicacy and restrained power of a Barbaresco, but it does possess impressive structure, density, and an underlying seriousness that is very appealing. Above that, there are these more nuanced fruity, spicy, truffly notes that make the whole thing pretty exciting.
March 3, 2021 - Paired with pizza and pasta. Should have bought more of these. Really lovely. Very crisp and almost crunchy in style. Red fruits. Not ripe at all. Restrained but you get that red fruit essence. It's a pretty wine.
July 11, 2020 - 提前一天醒酒，感觉还有点紧。嗅觉上微妙的黑果，混合着细碎的烟草末和淡淡的花香，呈现出比较清晰的质感，不紧不慢。些许肉感和沥青在行进过程中释放，提升了整体的层次。中段略带一点有特色的隆起，一点桶味聚拢了甜果（无花果干或枸杞等），樱桃利口酒，五香肉干和皮革，稍显停顿。入口酒体中强，单宁较强，较紧，但颇为细腻，带光滑感，酸度较高。刚入口时有点消毒水的气味，随后转变为有扩张感的黑果味，还有新鲜的红莓类，带有力量感兼顾细腻通透，流畅地流过舌面，些许甜香料增加了质感。中后段出现些许渐秋的绿植，余味不错，带有果脯味。90/100
March 22, 2020 - Not as ripe as I expected. Sweet Red Fruit, framed with some very fine, structure... young as expected
Lots of energy, will be fun to follow for the next few years.
September 5, 2019 - Off the by the glass list at Armani restaurant in NYC. This is just really nice. and even better for the bottle price. It's got that nice crispness, a bit of sour cherry, a bit of almost iron to it. Not so complex or anything, but a good wine to have with food.

Fine wine with ripe fruit (strawberries & ripe cherries).
Warm feeling - ripe vintage.
Some complexity in this "baby Barolo".
A very good wine, from a top producer, will keep and develop nicely.

mouth - good stuffing but not really showing tonight. maybe needs time. the Sandrone '14 Valmaggiore which was consumed side by side was much more open and alluring. hold.
