March 17, 2013 - This is so much better than 4 years ago. Apparently what I mistook as bad was just immature. Still not exceptional, I'd give it a solid good. Can't quite pick up what's on the nose but moving on, the wine is still drinking very young, firm tannins, dark berries, earth...the wine still has lots of time left.

December 26, 2009 - After reading prior reviews, I decidedto decant for 5 hours and ran through the vinturi. The wine opened up nicely and had a decent smokiness to it with some chocolate. I finicky wine audience commented that they liked the wine. Give it some time in the decanter.

August 11, 2008 - Average. Sharp tannins (and not in a good way) and a sort of vegetal smell (also not in a good way). Decanted for about 30 minutes, improved somewhat but then lost almost all flavor. Tannins suggest it could age several more years, but not sure if it will be much better.

June 6, 2008 - Drank about half the bottle after dinner. Seaside smell of rock jetty or pier. This blows off after a few minutes and is replaced by a dull chocolate caramel kind of thing, bu this also passes away fairly soon. Very thin and unappealing in the mouth. This would be ok for a barbeque or picnic wine. 82 points.

May 16, 2008 - Bought a couple of bottles at the recommendation of a wine seller and opened one to see if the others were worth keeping for a couple years. (They aren't.) Good color's about all I can say for this wine. The winemaker may have been trying to make a big, deep wine, but it smells and tastes like grain alcohol and has no depth at all. Some of its faults may soften with time, but I doubt it will ever be a very solid wine.

March 29, 2008 - Immediately after opening this wine seemed to have no hope at all. However, after decanting for an hour it got better. Still not very good but displayed some red berry flavors. Quite bitter with celerey on the nose.

December 10, 2007 - Gave my second and final bottle a try (if only to free up room on my rack). Every wine deserves a second chance, right? Wrong. This stuff is barely drinkable.

November 26, 2007 - Deep garnet color. Nice earthiness to the nose which is balanced by candied fruit. Pro: soft and silky. Con: no tannins and no finish. I don't see this wine gaining any character with age. Drinkable, but why waste your time? Give it away or use it for cooking.

November 25, 2007 - I don't see what the negative critiques are talking about, although I too used it for a red wine reduction sauce. But that was only a cup, the rest shows off the ripe fruits from this promising vintage. Well made and balanced, if somewhat one note bottle of Bordeaux.
