December 24, 2023 - Opened to make red wine au jus with prime rib, of course this was not going to waste. This bottle seemed pretty ready on PnP. Had one glass while cooking, saved half the bottle for later. After two days, it was still drinking well but starting to fade a bit. Night 1/2 was probably the sweet spot.

May 30, 2023 - Quite good upon opening, don't think a decant is necessary. A pleasant lighter expression that what I am used to from Rasa. I like this style....a good red wine with food.

March 5, 2022 - My first bottle from a case that has been aging, excellent bottle.
Smooth full bodied, well integrated flavors of blackberry, plum, tobacco and vanilla. In a nice spot.
Will have to start opening these more often - excellent single vineyard Merlot3 people found this helpful Comment -

October 20, 2021 - Very dark ruby color with no fading or sediment. Profound blackberry, plum, roses, tobacco, light vanilla and moderate oak notes. Still bold, but softening some over the past couple years to allow just a hint of the tertiary character yet to come to show itself. The frame of acidity and tannins is fine and integrated, the alcohol is noticeable but fairly quiet. This was a great compliment to a fantastic Wagyu Filet Mignon, where I really didn't want the wine to be the focus of the meal. A great match.

November 8, 2020 - This was tasty at 3 hours in the decanter. Cherry and plum. A little light on tannins. This is a good food wine. I could drink this with thanksgiving dinner.
