June 24, 2017 - Pinot Dinner (Chez Gill): A touch overripe, with loads of dark chocolate and very ripe black raspberry. Very full bodied on the palate, and rather tannic. Good, but probably should have been paired with bitter dark chocolate.

June 22, 2016 - Stood 750ml overnight. Brief decant and served. Evolved and forward at this stage. Bright red/fleshy plum fruit on the palate; this showed well on its own, but had enough acidity to face some food. Drink up!

January 31, 2016 - Has that unique Priorat raspberry-licorice thing, along with a floral topnote, and some alcohol nose. Spicy, ionic palate with peppery black plums, incense, but kind of a big hole in the middle. I think this wine was maybe better five years ago when it had the plump fruit sweetness to support the structure. Still tastes good, but doesn't bring much joy and clobbers me with alcohol.

    May 12, 2015 - Beau Priorat.
Un fruit noir, assez extrait, passablement long et persistant.
    Délicieux.

February 8, 2015 - Decanted briefly for sediment. Having tasted this several times over the years, I can say this was a very good, representative bottle. Unmistakably Priorat with its sappy red currant, cassis, graphite, and schisty licorice character. This is just beyond its apex and needs no more ageing. Great wine, but I liked it more in its youth when the fruit had more power. Drink now-2017.
