September 12, 2021 - Bravo to La Cave d'Argent's TN! This was surprisingly fresh. Aromas of ripe pear and a bit of citrus. Medium-bodied on the palate - really creamy, plush tropical fruit with nicely balanced minerality. Long finish with a nice blend of tropical notes and minerality with just enough acidity to hold everything together. Well stored bottles should easily last another few years.

February 4, 2019 - Those who dread drinking overoaked California Chardonnay will embrace the fruit/acid/oak balance of this well-crafted Golden State wine. Straw-colored, vibrantly acidic and well-defined, it delivers a package of lemon zest, white peaches, honeydew and crushed rocks. Light-to-medium-bodied, softly oaked and without alcoholic heat (13.3%), it is solid on the mid-palate and closes with medium length. Anyone unfamiliar with the Talley family and their history of outstanding winemaking should take heed. Drink now-2021.

December 25, 2018 - Pale gold in the glass with a generous nose of green apple, peach, honey, and stone.

On the palate the wine is fresh and vibrant yet with a not-overwhelming creaminess. There are flavors of green apple and a subtle tropical note. Some oak comes forward on the mid-palate and there’s a tartness on the finish.

Really, really nice chardonnay for around $25. You should be buying this!

October 10, 2018 - Toast, baked apple, ripe peach and notes of chalk. Silky and lively with amazing chalkiness upfront. The fruit is ripe, but not overly done. It finishes with a hint of oak and a drop of lemon.

June 17, 2018 - Good fruit with flavors of pineapple cantaloupe and a hint of lemon. A thread of Oak through out but not the buttery old style California Chardonnay

June 15, 2017 - A bit too chilled, usually shows more ripe pineapple but today underipe pineapple. A bit discompopulated. It's been through TAS recently.
