January 7, 2021 - Very nice, but it feels like it's at its peak about now. Drink up!

September 8, 2017 - Well, this one's a bit of a flavour bomb! But in a good way. Bright crimson in colour, cherry and raspberry flavours. Feels a bit meaty. Maybe the mourvedre? Fine tannins. Oak already well integrated, not obvious. I like it, but I think I'll like it better in a year (or two or five). Not sure about the 30 years that the label says!

A wine that is throwing a definite wiff of alcohol on the nose.
i hope this softens out in the next 6 months.
I smelled yeast/bread , cassis, touch of Oak, a dash of pepper .
On the tongue it's soft fruit, soft tannins, a very sound ,well balanced wine that probably needs a year or two to reach it's peak.
Low yielding 85 year old vines
18 months in french oak .
Described as a Grand Cuvee by the winemaker.
    Cellaring 30 years !!@!! really !!!!

Ok , as I said it's potential lies ahead , a GSM of depth and for a wine showing great possibilities and only produced in vintage years of outstanding quality.
The price is pretty good at around $48.00 AU .
I just did a quick browse and could not find this wine available in any online shop .The price on earlier vintages are rising and creeping upward to around $60.00AU

    revisited 10/August/2017

I added an extra point to my assessment.
The wine is producing a very peppery nose and lush soft fruit on the tongue .
I guess, allowing this to settle has also allowed it to produce its best, although |I still believe it will improve over time

Still alcohol on the nose a touch of oak pushing through.
    Lovely fruit on the tongue.
A little sediment starting to develop.
    Holding up beautifully .

    \\October 2019

Still holding up beautiful balance lovely soft fruit

This wine really is a nice drop
