August 12, 2022 - Tasted after 1 hour of decanting

    Appearance: dark ruby red

Aroma: darker fruit, blackberry, blueberry, plum. Chocolate, vanilla.

Taste: full bodied, cooked plums, blackberry. Transitioning to a strong vanilla, oak note. Some chocolate, leather builds through multiple tastes. Tannins are restrained, pleasant. Finish is medium in length

Overall: One of my favorite Napa cabs. Considering the price, definitely a strong value. Would recommend decanting as an initial taste was quite tight and tannic. Opened up much more around 45 minutes in the carafe.

May 16, 2022 - Great wine, even greater for the price. Aromas of violets and blueberries with some mineral notes. Hits the palate with red cherry, blueberry and raspberry fruit with some coffee and silky tannins. Tasty 15-second finish!

December 4, 2021 - Deep red color. Chocolate, cherry, anise on the nose. Palate is deep and finely detailed. Black cherries, blackberries, sweet tobacco. Fine tannins, great acidity and balance. Finishes long, long, intense blackberry and dark chocolate. Drinking beautifully right now. Can go for at least 10 years.

July 31, 2021 - Immediately after opening, I smell a lovely blend of creamy vanilla, red fruit, and spice. Not ready to drink until at least 45 minutes of decanting, although after 90 minutes everything starts coming together really well. There's such an interesting vanilla cream aspect to this wine, partly because the tannins are subdued (but still present). I love this style: rich without being overwhelming, classic flavors but with its own unique character. Impressive.

EDIT: I kept about 40% of this bottle reserved under vacuum seal and decanted that part on the next day. It's wonderful: I'm picking up much more of the tannins and the graphite/savory notes. I think I need to find more of this wine....
