February 21, 2020 - Decanted over cocktails and served. Stunning, full-bodied single-block Cabernet with soft tannins and tongue-coating cassis that is concentrated but so accessible. With air some light soil emerges along with nuances of spice. Another stellar Cab from Bevan and definitely ready to drink.

December 26, 2019 - Great bevan with the typical full body, seductive quality but with more structure than some other bevan’s. Initially more red and blue fruits, which over 2 hours became more blue and black fruits, with additional hints of forest floor and tobacco. The wine is very silky with a great midpalate. This wine can improve further over many years but is delicious today, so if you have multiple bottles open one now

December 4, 2019 - Yum. Rich delicious, concentrated cab fruit well balanced with acids, cassiss, smoke, toast, great mouthfeel and a just a real pleasure to drink.

November 6, 2019 - The top wine of three for lunch (2010 Lynch Bages, 2012 Alban Reva)… scores around the table were 96, 97, 97, 98. A big beautiful Cab just bursting with flavor. I don't usually care much about the nose, but this one was special, a real perfume. Wow, what a wine, kudos to Russell!

June 17, 2019 - Father's Day treat with filet and seasoned mushrooms. Needed at least 3 hours to blow off unpleasant cedar, oak and pine resin elements. Then it suddenly flipped into a very sophisticated, nuanced wine that floated over your palate and ended with a beautiful but short-ish finish. Wonderful notes of coffee grinds, dark chocolate and red/black fruits. Similar nose. Really pretty and well made but not a blockbuster.
