May 26, 2024 - As I mentioned in my last tasting note, this wine is a bit past its prime, as the fruit has faded. However, it still is a delicious glass of wine. There are more earthy notes, the acidity is a bit less. I generally prefer this wine at 5 to 6 years past the vintage.

May 3, 2024 - Rather underwhelmed. Seems like fruit notes are fading, leaving a morass of dark indistinct flavors. There are other “heavy” Fleuries that I think are better — Anne Sophie Dubois’s Les Lubarons and L’Alchimiste come to mind.

I’ve got one more bottle left, and plan to drink it sooner rather than later.

December 8, 2023 - I value highly these greatly undervalued wines but was mightily disappointed this evening . ALANR’s review has it on point. Hold and hope.

December 2, 2023 - From night two. On night one, this was just a bit surly and angry at being woken up from its nap. 24 hours later, it's a bit more open, still tight and a little ungiving, but fairly drinkable if tolerant of a little structure. There's a fair amount of vegetal-ly green stuff all over this wine, on the nose, on the palate, but it's moderate, and adds to the classic nature of this vintage. Darker red plum fruit, quite a bit of mineral and slightly astringent, chalky tannin. Better with food for sure. I'd advise hiding away for another couple of years to soften up just a bit more, when it will be deliciously classic.

November 23, 2023 - Drank during Thanksgiving dinner. Probably a bit past its prime, but still quite an enjoyable. An earthy wine, with faded red fruits, and fully resolved tannins. No detailed notes, just enjoyment and a great meal.

August 4, 2023 - Solidly structured. Enough dark fruit but a rathwr watery finish. Didn't show well against the 2017 Louis Claude DesVignes Cote du Puy.

May 3, 2023 - Quality made wine but not my favorite vintage of this or in general. The 18 is much better and the 14 edged it out a tad. Possibly in a dumb/closed phase a bit.

January 22, 2023 - Primarily dark fruit notes now, and definitely a heavier, mellow BoJo. No more pretense at anything light and fluffy or super rich. Tannins are just a hint of astringency in the background. Drinking very well now, but I wouldn’t let these age too much longer.

July 17, 2022 - Darker fruit profile with a musty, earthy note in the background. Feels a bit disjointed - it did improve on days 2 and 3 so maybe this does need time. Decent now but forgettable.
