July 11, 2022 - Chuggable drinky, this is delicately sweet, lime juice and crunchy white peach, salty and stony. In its prime, but this will motor for many years.

    January 4, 2021 - Glass: Zalto Universal
Popped and poured, drunk over two days. Clear, pale lemon-green color. Clean, youthful and almost completely shut down nose, driven by reductive, sulphur and yeasty notes, that needs a lot of time and air to unfold some of its beautiful cassis, pear and herbaceous notes. Way too young!
On the palate off-dry with a high, racy and wonderful integrated acidity. Only 7,5% abv. White peach, pear, herbs, some floral notes, citrus zests, yeasty and mineral. Very juicy, airy and almost fragile. Long, lingering finish with lots of white fruit, zests and stony mineral notes. Way too young! Wait at least 5+ years for this beauty to really come out of its she… 88++

October 12, 2019 - I like this even better than my last bottle. Notes of wet stone minerality, some seashell, ripe apple, a touch of spices. It‘s light-bodied, but with beautiful mid-palate persistence, has pretty high acidity balancing the moderate sweetness perfectly. Very good length. A super liverly, mineral-driven and refreshing Kabinett full of tension.

June 10, 2019 - What’s not to like? From the smooth, light-ish, sweet-tart nose on through the lime, wet stone/slatey and slightly sweet palate. Yum, fresh and vibrant. Reading the notes on this wine from others indicates to me that there might be some bottle variation, but this sample of one was very pleasing.

September 14, 2018 - Trenger litt luft. En nydelig ren og fruktdrevet nese. Oser av hvit fersken. Sommerlig blomstereng. Skifer og petrichor kommer fram etterhvert. Rå nese for prisen. En eksplosjon av søt og syrlig frukt i munn. Intens frukt, men lett som en fjær. Som å drikke vann. Pen lengde på utgang. Drikker mye bedre nå enn for et halvt år siden, men vil bli enda bedre om et par år.

September 3, 2018 - #03-17, 7.5% abv. Good, but not to the level of how I felt about this when I opened the first bottle about a year ago. I think it's started to shut down (my last note was also something to this extent), and so it's time to put these away. Unfortunately, I had forgotten about that until after I opened this (and my last) bottle, so all of that is moot. Anyway, this has got a moderate dose of sponti on the nose, as well as some tart pineapple and green herbs. The palate has gotten a bit more lean, but there's still lots of freshness in this wine. It's just that the fruit here seems to have become more muted, and the structural elements are poking out a lot more. It's not the most giving and easy to enjoy right now, but it definitely still scratches that riesling itch.

July 27, 2018 - Notes of sponti, blows off after a few minutes in the glass. Pretty aromatics of ripe apple, wet stone, ripe citrus, also some spices. It‘s lighter-bodied, but with nice persistence, had medium-high acidity and a very good balance of sweetness and acidity. Finishes with some mineral notes on the pretty long finish. A very pretty Kabinett at an excellent price.

June 2, 2018 - #03-17, 7.5% abv. Sadly, I don't think this is showing as well as I remember; perhaps the freshness of youth has started to wear off, and the fruit has taken a slight backseat. There's a fair bit of sponti on the nose now, and the palate seems a little more lean. There's still a really nice vibrancy and electricity here, but this doesn't seem as clean as I remember it being.

February 4, 2018 - #03-17, 7.5% abv. I opened a bottle of wine decorated with a superb owl, because that's what we celebrate today. Still as consistent as I remember it being. Youthful, crisp, moderately sweet, and impeccably balanced. Good cut and fruit, with a generous hit of minerality. Easygoing riesling that is exactly what it ought to be.
