April 5, 2023 - Pale; slate & floral notes; deft sweetness & white fruits, refreshing acidity, clean as a whistle; delightful finish.

January 31, 2023 - Prior bottle was just over 15 months ago and this wine continues to evolve positively, along the lines I'd hoped. White apple and pear on the nose along with peach and some white tropical, especially as it warms. Medium bodied with white apple and pear upfront, moving to white and yellow peach through the middle as well as white tropical notes that are coming more into focus, particularly towards the back of the mid-body. This is offset by citrus (especially lemon) as well as good acidity behind and through the finish. This wine has a number of years in front of it as it continues to open up and gain in balance and expression.

October 22, 2021 - Prior bottle was one year ago and the wine has evolved positively in that time. White apple and pear, but also peach and now, hints of pineapple on the more aromatic nose. Medium bodied with white apple and touch of brighter white pear upfront. Mid-body has opened up nicely since my prior bottle, showing white peach, shifting to yellow peach and also bringing in tart tropical qualities. Backside shows lemon and grapefruit, but these acidity-based notes are in much better balance with the mid-body fruit than previously. Acidity continues to provide a solid backbone, but in such a fashion that the mid-body fruit and upfront notes are gaining in expression. This is wine is starting to evolve from it's steely, tight, acidity driven youth to a more complex wine. I'll save my next bottle until at least Fall 2022, but preferably, Q2 2023.

January 9, 2021 - Nice wine. Typical nose that can only smell like Riesling. Citrus, wet rock, diesel. Palate shows ripe citrus, grapefruit, nectarine. Peach, apricot, honey, stone, petrol. Really really good.

January 8, 2021 - Nice pale straw color. Lemon and honey on the nose. Slightly sweet, medium acid, light body. Touch of grapefruit to the lemon and honey in the flavor. Not terribly sprightly. Paired well with skate wing schnitzel and Savage Garden retro night.

October 14, 2020 - Prior bottle was only six months ago, but I felt it was important to try this vintage alongside the '10-15 and it was quite worthwhile. Nose still shows floral and lemon notes, but also white apple and peach now as well. Closer to medium bodied now with white apple and pear the dominant upfront notes. Mid-body continues to show lots of white peach with some softer, yellow peach highlights. Backside shows green melon, lemon and grapefruit. The acidity seemed in slightly better balance with the fruit while the fruit in general seemed both a bit more expressive and more defined. The mix of white peach and apple, contrasting with the lemon and grapefruit and the acidity-based backbone made for an enjoyable combination. Should continue to develop this positive harmony in the years to come. Next bottle for me will be alongside the '14 and '15 in Fall 2022.

October 9, 2020 - A little diesel initially but it either subsided or I got use to it, very pleasant lemon lime and glazed peach notes, perfectly Spatlese mid weight mouthfeel and depth, delicately slatey with something else, fun and fruity on pull and gaining more mineral and sharper cut with air, suggest aging longer but very pleasant now.

April 18, 2020 - Very quaffable mix of citrus and apple, acid, stones and light-on-its’-feet sweetness.

April 17, 2020 - Floral and lemon notes on the nose. Lighter in body than prior vintages (7.5% ABV) with green melon and white pear upfront. Good density through the middle with more distinctly white orchard fruit, especially white peach. Well-defined fruit through the middle, framed by acidity and tart citrus notes. The lemon and grapefruit notes on the back provide contrast. Finishing acidity contributes good length and ties the wine together. This wine is still quite young, but has all the elements (fruit, acidity, structure and density) to evolve in a positive fashion. It's worthwhile to be patient with this wine and I'll hold my next bottle til Fall 2021.
