March 6, 2020 - Very nice Napa cab. Blackberries, violets, herbs on the nose, dark berries, blueberries and mint on the finish. Tingly tannins, pleasant oak.

January 30, 2020 - Really enjoyed this wine. I thought it was worthy of the price. Would lay down well.

January 2, 2020 - too early to drink imo but still very enjoyable. about 93 so far, could go up if it becomes more refined with time. drank somewhere between Grand Cayman and Jamaica, ocean enriched atmosphere added to the nose as compared to on dry land.

January 1, 2020 - I guess it can be called a marked improvement when this wine gains 5 points from my last experience back in March. So....congrats...? Oh, and to be fair, the Caymus beat out a 2015 Wente Nth degree Cabernet from Livermore. So again.... um...congrats to the Caymus.....??

If French kissing a Holstein Cow was a wine, it would be the 2015 Caymus Special Selection.

December 25, 2019 - I have to rate this wine for what it is. You would not rate a Bordeaux low for not tasting like a Napa Cab. And Caymus is in it's own class for what it is trying to be. Over the top, hedonistic, syrupy, chocolate flavored goodness in a glass. I can't help it - I enjoy this wine every so often. But, for the same reason I cannot drink a MollyDooker Shiraz all the time, is the same relationship I have with this wine. It is great when you are in the mood, but know what you are getting yourself into. One thing is undeniable, Caymus is always consistent. So rating this for what it is. Always a crowd-pleaser.
