November 11, 2023 - Unripe plum, blackberry, tobacco, menthol and harsh leather. Still quite tannic, it has 25 more years ahead of it. I's wait five more years before approaching

February 7, 2023 - Needed two hours for the heat and tannic nature to blow off. Then it was very impressive. Plum/prune, cherry pipe tobacco, menthol, black cherry. Lots of depth mid-palate. Another five years and this one will be in the prime drinking window.

January 27, 2023 - AGElvis' notes are quite similar to my experience. The two main flavors I got were cocoa and black cherries, but there's more going on. The most surprising part was a touch of pepper that both my wife and I noted. Pepper isn't something I expect in a cab but it worked well here and hey, Relic doesn't make shy wines. My wife and I both enjoyed this tremendously.

November 1, 2022 - One hour decant. Deep dark ruby magenta color. Blueberry, mulberry, lingonberry, French toast, sage, and subtle peanut oil on the nose. Very smooth, very dry, somewhat plush palate. Great, tongue coating acidity. Firm, full, satiny tannins on the longish finish.

This kept improving over an hour of drinking, so a two hour decant is advisable. This was not as deep/heavy as the last time I had it (almost a year ago).

January 30, 2022 - Three hour decant. Very very deep magenta color. Flint, blackberry jam, fennel, black cherry, nutmeg, and bay leaf on the Bordeaux-esque nose. Smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with chewy acidity. Firm, full, plush tannins on the longish finish.
