    August 1, 2016 - Purchased 2007 for $29, now the current vintage retails for $75 - $80. Hmmm...
Anyway, this is in a good place now in terms of the optimium drinking window. Loads of blackcurrant fruit burst through in my glass, framed by a touch of mint and pencil oak. Quite smooth to taste; with sweet berry flavours, framed by an undercurrent green note. The tannins have mellowed somewhat, but still evident. Only knock on this is, it comes across as a bit one dimensional and fruit forward, lacking depth. Having said that, found it immensely drinkable.

February 28, 2016 - Good cab. Intense nose and polished tannins. No tertiary aromas, quite young. I liked it although it lacks personality.

July 18, 2015 - Good but not great

December 7, 2014 - NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2014 (Greg's place): {cork, 14%} Smoky currants; dark dry flavours too; here the oak seems to mesh with the black cabernet fruit instead of clashing – easily among the better 407s I’ve tasted. Medium-bodied, with a medium length finish; medium powdery tannins; a somewhat restrained yet assertive cabernet. Pretty good; give it another ten years I’d say. Very pleasing.

    August 27, 2014 - Decanted one hour.
    Heavy sediment in the bottle.
    Dark impenetrable garnet in colour.
Heady blackberry nose, mint, licorice, blueberries, spice.
Medium mouthfeel, dark fruit through to the mid palate, black berry spice, tobacco, where a light acidic zing kicks on to the medium long finish.
