January 17, 2021 - Excellent value and purity of classic mentholated cherry Sangiovese flavor. Really true flavors that bring one back to Tuscany. Modest tannic bite so this guy is ready to drink.
December 31, 2020 - They served it a little warm but that did not dampen this wines spirits. Long finish, balanced flavors of tobacco and currents. One in the party felt it was too bitter.
November 28, 2020 - The pedigree here is rock solid. I found the nose a bit off on this bottle, but it still tasted fine. Nice cherry notes with good acidity. Surprisingly given its price, I think it could have used some more time in the bottle. Excellent QPR and great everyday case buy.
October 10, 2020 - Showing much better than the last bottle two years ago.
More fruit aroma and flavour
September 17, 2020 - Nose: Inky aromas with traces of cinnamon, minerals and red fruits. Palate: Good tension with soft tannins, cinnamon, cherries and a light, elegant finish. Super solid cheapie QPR Rosso. 90+ points. Will have to get more at only $15/bottle. Went great w/ lime jalapeño marinaded chicken on the charcoal grill.
February 7, 2020 - My previous note was 89 and I was reserving 90 for the next bottle, assuming good performance. 90 is confirmed. Good acid, bright cherries, a bit of earth and kind of a rustic quality.
January 11, 2020 - Very nice wine. Smooth on the first taste. Smooth finish. Light tannins. Nice price point for restaurant purchase.
December 11, 2019 - Bold. I enjoyed this wine too young and need to pair with a meal next time. Will save the next bottle for a year or so.
November 10, 2019 - Pop and pour. I'm so tempted to score this 90. It was a great easy drinking Italian pasta wine, and yes it went great with homemade spaghetti and meatballs. A bit acidic, bright cherries and a bit of earth. I'll reserve my 90+ for the next bottle.
August 9, 2019 - So, so. My Expectations are always so high for this producer and deservedly so. This is nothing special, wouldn’t buy again
